isBIM appointed first reseller of CodeBook in south-east Asia

Delivering 'beyond BIM' technologies in China, Hong Kong and Taiwan

17 October 2011, London, UK: CodeBook International has appointed isBIM to be the first south-east Asia reseller of CodeBook, a toolset that boosts the value of building information modeling (BIM) software applications.

Headquartered in Hong Kong, with offices in Beijing, Shenzhen and Taipei, isBIM Limited specialises in BIM and construction modelling and control (CMC) consultancy for government, property developers, public organisations, architects, engineers and contractors involved in civil and building projects. It will manage CodeBook customer relationships in China, Hong Kong, and Taiwan.

CodeBook manages information from project inception through to facility management after project completion. Working with industry standard CAD and BIM tools, CodeBook links to models, shares data and gives detailed reports and validations throughout the design and construction phases of a project. On completion the building owner takes possession of a detailed room information database linked to the 3D building model.

Elvis Li, CEO of isBIM, says:

"isBIM's name derives from our focus on integrated solutions related to BIM. We have long been striving to meet our company objective of providing an integrated solution for BIM – simply, isBIM. Our people are experts in asset life-cycle information management, and our customers are increasingly demanding better information for future operation and maintenance.

"Being interoperable with a range of different BIM design tools, CodeBook provides that information for owners and facility managers running complex buildings. It will be a powerful addition to the applications we deliver to our customers."

Peter Mann, founder and CEO of CodeBook International, says:

"We have been promoting CodeBook to industry professionals involved with complex buildings since the late 1990s, and the explosion of interest in BIM has made owners and operators more aware of the value of information created during briefing, design, construction and handover processes.

"Through isBIM, CodeBook will now be available for use in delivery and management of projects in some of the fastest growing economies in south-east Asia. isBIM has achieved a number of 'firsts', and I am pleased to welcome it as our first official reseller in the region.”

isBIM joins a worldwide roster of CodeBook resellers, including CDV Systems in north America and Masquare in south America. In addition to its UK head office, CodeBook International also has regional offices serving customers in Australasia, southern Africa and the USA.
